There is a new set of solutions in the IT industry referred to as enabler of Green IT. What are these typical solutions? I pondered for a while and made out this list of questions: 

a) Are Intel and AMD coming out with recyclable chips?

b) Does every piece of next generation hardware be far more energy efficient?

c) Are there alternatives to silicon that can save us from ever rising cost of Silicon?

d) Are we going to see solar powered computers and laptops?

e) Can the heat generated in data centres due to clusters of servers and other equipment can it be harnessed and re-used for cooling the data centre?     

If the answers to these questions are found I think then there is a true Green IT.

Is their more to Green IT than solutions to the above mentioned questions?
